As you know, the necessary activity of protecting cabin surfaces during construction, completion or refurbishing can represent thousands of man hours. Manufacturers and completion centers often appoint a manager whose only job is to see that interior components are protected during production.

The established protocol of masking and taping is inefficient and often ineffective. The thin material used now can be easily ripped or displaced by worker and component traffic. Protection must be replaced constantly. The rework required on damaged elements can be excruciatingly expensive and repairs mean that the customer doesn’t receive the item in pristine original condition.
